The specific-event accuracy of Daniel's prophetic anointing is confirmed by history, much to the consternation and angst of naysayers and skeptics. So far, Daniel has batted 1.000. Who would be so foolish or arrogant as to bet against him for the upcoming future of this age?

Daniel, modeling a great man of God who continues to press in to the place of intimacy w the Lord is met by angelic messengers who provide for him, and for us, further revelation into the theo-drama called "life in this age". We benefit from the blessing of this man's determination and reverence, so that we might be equipped for the purposes of God in these most critical times.

We look again at Dan 9, the last few verses - that have stirred up innumerable theories, calculations, postulations, discussions and even arguments relating to the prophetic word given to the prophet Daniel, for the world to read and pray into and respond to. This week we consider a scripturally sound theory by one particular man, which – if accurate – opens a door for some potential acceleration of events as this age comes to its imminent closure.

Looking further into Daniel Chapter 9 verses 24-27, we examine and discuss some of the more scripturally acceptable meanings and theorized timeframes associated with the end-of-age events prophesied by the angel Gabriel – events that appear to be manifesting and fomenting in these days, on our watch.

These verses provide us w some revelation that requires and deserves biblical background consideration so that we might press in to understanding their potential significance right now, in our times.

Daniel, foreseeing the conclusion of the 70-year captivity, determines to press into the Lord, owning the sins of his people. And heaven opens up to him, and through him, to present to the world a cryptic timeline for God's purposes to be fulfilled (and that will be addressed in the next session). Meanwhile Daniel's prayer ought to encourage, challenge, and model to us how to pray most effectively.

Minus the noise of theological speculations and theories, we're presented an astonishing yet sober straight-line prophecy from the Babylonian Empire's fall, through the Mede-Persian Empire, through the Empire of Greece, to the final (little horn) Anti-Christ.

Daniel receives his own prophetic dream correlating with (Nebuchadenezzar's) Statue-Dream of Chapter 2, further disclosing the plans of God going forward until the return appearance of Messiah.

There's some most-critical mods to my weeks-ago teaching of Chapter 2 - as it critically coordinates to Chapter 7 of Daniel. These two chapters are in complete concert one w another, and the prophetic implications are weighty.

The wickedness of mankind, the corruption of govt officials, has a prophet of God hurtled into a place of death, all in the will of heaven. And God is glorified. This is memorialized for our encouragement and admonition, "upon whom the end of the ages has come" says Rabbi Paul. (1 Cor 10:11)
