Isaaiah 64 - 8.1.20
Saturday Aug 01, 2020
Saturday Aug 01, 2020
We complete Isaiah 63, take some anointed bunny trails, and then go into chapter 64, where the prophet cries out to the Lord to tear open the heavenly realms, and come down. Situations on earth require His return.
O that You would rend the heavens and come down.
Amen. That will be the eventual cry of the Church and of His Israel.

Isaiah 63 7.25.20
Saturday Jul 25, 2020
Saturday Jul 25, 2020
These are weighty verses revealing the intensity of events as our Lord appears on earth. As Paul mentioned in 1 Corinthians, these things were written for our edification, upon whom the ends of the ages has come. There's reference to supportive and complementary verses in Zechariah, Joel and elsewhere, as the Echad (whole/complete) word of the Lord testifies to itself as only the Lord can do. It is written for our encouragement and for our transformation.

Isa 62 7.18.20

The powerfully prophetic book of Isaiah points us to the conclusion of this age. These final chapters appropriately dial into the priority of Jerusalem/Israel/Zion. The faithful covenant plans of our great God are the plans and purposes that want to be our plans and purposes.
In that understanding and alignment is our success and safety and security. And nowhere else. To be alive in these shaking days of harvest is remarkable. To be aware of the Lord's plans is critical. To be walking in submission to the timing and purposes of the Spirit is glorious.

At the outset of His ministry, when Jesus stood up to read in the synagogue, apparently the scroll of the law "happened to be" at Isa 61. And He read.

Isa 58 & 59 - 6.20.20
Saturday Jun 20, 2020
Saturday Jun 20, 2020
HOW TIMELY ARE THESE TWO CHAPTERS?!
Talk about social justice and (the real) fasting - from selfish lifestyles, self-centered existence and complacent churchianity. We see the people in Isaiah's time (can we relate?) corporately wondering why they did not experience the power and the deliverance of God. These chapters are weighty, most challenging, and happily conclude w the glorious promise of the sovereign appearing of our almighty Lord. Stay tuned!

Isaiah 57 6.13.20
Saturday Jun 13, 2020
Saturday Jun 13, 2020
Our podcast from this AM. The prophet brings forth a prophetic word of clarity, speaking ahead into troublesome times (ancient Israel, forward into what is now history from our perspective, and yet further forward into the troubles now as well as upcoming) that could mean even death for godly people - assuring all hearers that their/our destiny call extends way beyond the temporal, the now, the grave. Our salvation experience is our gate into the eternal. And meanwhile the increasing noise of trouble is around us, challenging and testing us as we, by grace, remain focused and faithful.

Isaiah 56 - 6.6.20
Saturday Jun 06, 2020
Saturday Jun 06, 2020
As our world shakes and destabilizes (as prophesied), we're again reminded by our great and loving God that His ways and His words work, and all else will fail. That actually demonstrates His great love for us in that there is A way to live successfully, in Him, for His glory and for our success.

Pentecost, Shavuot - promised outpouring of the Holy Spirit
Saturday May 30, 2020
Saturday May 30, 2020
Our time in Isaiah (56 will be next) gets delayed as we address Pentecost (celebrated this upcoming Sunday, 6.1.20). The significance and timing of this holiday, also referred to as Shavuot, is not be missed. The Lord has perfect timing and I believe we are invited to the place of pressing in, in faithful expectation, for the promised outpouring and infilling of the Holy Spirit.

Saturday May 23, 2020
Saturday May 23, 2020
Oh my. May 23 - between the Resurrection and then Ascension, now awaiting Pentecost - and here we are in Isaiah 55, with our great God declaring EVERYONE WHO THIRSTS. Trying days? Of course. Days of outpouring? Yes and just you wait....
